Removing dependencies tag and the package fails to be created

May 2, 2014 at 7:41 PM
Hey Everyone
I dont know what the problem is and it is driving me crazy.

I created a nuspec file. The Template has a tag:

<dependencies>
  <dependency id="SampleDependency" version="1.0" />
</dependencies>

Well I dont have any dependencies so i removed the tag and replaced it with:

<dependencies/>

If i start my build in TFS I get an error:

"Aborting the Package Process due to previous errors."

But there are no previous errors. If I add the default dependencies it works again. But of course I can no install the package to a project.

What is the problem here?

It is really annoying.

Thanks for the help

How about you remove all the <dep....> tags? NuGetter does not do magic to pack your nuspec file, it's the NuGet.exe, so you should be able to try run NuGet.exe from command line see if your nuspec can be packed or not.

Hope helps,
